The benefits of yoga

As you know I suffer from migraines. They have gotten a lot better since I've started with LCHF, but I still get them once a month.

I've never been able to get into yoga, but I decided in December that I was going to give it another try. I decided to try it for 21 days before I decide to quit or continue. The reason why I decided to do it for 21 days is because that is how long it takes to make something into a habit.

I researched and tried multiple apps until I found Yoga Studio. The reason why I like Yoga Studio is because it has videos with calm music and great directions.

I do my yoga session in the morning (yes, you read correctly, I've started to work out at 5.45am every morning, even though I'm not a morning exerciser. I'm so proud!) and they have made a big difference. The yoga studio videos has been a good way to slowly wake up and get ready for the day. I'm still on the Beginner Combination, but will start the Intermediate Balance next week.

Here are my thoughts so far:

  • I've noticed that I have more energy through out the day
  • I'm getting more flexible
  • It ensures that I stretch my neck every morning which is helping my migraines
  • The sessions are calming, and I feel less stressed during the day
  • I get an opportunity to reflect my upcoming day and to start the day with positive thinking
  • I feel stronger
