Fridays are my favorite day. I love knowing that I got the entire weekend ahead of me. The house is clean, filled with lovely smelling candles, and I'm super relaxed.
So I've found a new trick that instantly lowers my stress level - I pretend it is Friday every day. After dinner the entire family helps with dishes, I straighten up in the other rooms and light some candles. I take care of everything (kid's homework, dinner, kid's showers etc) like I don't have to worry about getting ready for work the next day. Just focusing on what needs to be done that night and having a cozy environment helps me relax. I've also noticed that the children are more relaxed. Give it a try. Make every night a Friday night.
