Meditation for weight-loss

A Stellibell life is all about creating a quality life the easy way. I'm always looking for new easy things I can do to improve my life and to feel good. I work twelve hours most days, so I have to be creative to come up with solutions that fit my busy schedule. I think most of you can relate, since life seems to get more and more busy for all of us.

There are two things that I have been able to incorporate into my life recently. The first one was yoga which I've been sticking to for some time now. I use the Yoga Studio app every morning for 15 minutes. I've now also added mediation to my morning routine. I'm using the Headspace app which I really like. I like using the apps until I'm ready to fly solo. Doing both yoga and mediation in the morning has only added 30 minutes to my schedule in the morning and it's totally worth it. I'm starting the day calm and with the right mindset.

I'm still working on getting into the meditation, but I'm going to give it the 21 days like I did with the yoga (it takes 21 days to create a new habit). My mind still has a tendency to plan my entire during my morning mediation, but it is slowly getting better. I like the way Headspace explain mediation. Meditation is about changing your relationship with your thoughts, and being aware of what is going on up there. Don't think that you need to accomplish something during the meditation. Just relax and settle in with your thoughts.

I'm looking forward to see how meditation will impact my health and weight-loss. During my mediation session I focus on my body, appreciating it in its current stage and saying thank you to my body for it's support. I will let you know how it goes.

Namaste.
