Losing the last stubborn 5 pounds

Losing those last stubborn 5 pounds can be a challenge. I often hear from my Clients about how they struggle with losing the last couple of pounds to reach their goal. And I often see the same reasons why they are not losing the weight.

  1. When you weigh less you need to eat less. You need to adjust your calorie intake as you lose weight.
  2. You are not tracking your eating as close as you did when you started. Continue to track what you eat in a food journal. That way you won't overeat, and you can easily see what you need to change in order to continue to lose.
  3. You are stuck in a rut. The reason being you eat the same foods and you do the same exercise ongoing. Try new healthy foods and recipes, and mix up your workout routine. Keep on surprising your body.
  4. You are eating to little and your body has gone into starvation mode. This will cause your metabolism to go down. A woman need to eat at least 1200 calories a day, and you need to eat extra if you exercise.

Have you managed to lose the last 5 pounds? If so, how did you do it?
