It's all about creating habits

I'm constantly thinking about new ways I can help my Clients to get healthier, and work with each one to find the right approach to health for them. And of course also making the process as easy as possible. I always come back to the same thing - creating habits. It's all about creating habits by making small changes - which will help in making the new habits stick.

I use the same approach for myself. I'm struggling along side with everyone else trying to be healthy. It's a daily battle. Every time I'm blogging about healthy foods and tips, I'm talking to myself just as much as I'm giving you advice.  Getting healthy is difficult, but there are ways to making it easier, and to reach goal.

What is one small change in your behavior you can change today? I've started bringing two hard-boiled eggs to work for breakfast. It's a small change that is making a big difference:

  • I start my day healthy, which helps me keep focused for the rest of the day
  • The eggs are providing me with protein and vitamins, and also keeps me full until lunch. So I don't need any snacks before lunch
  • Not having any carbs for breakfast is curbing my cravings for other carbs and sugar

Here are some small changes you can make

  • Try to make a small change to one of your meals this week. Next week you can add another change, and soon you have change your eating habits.
  • Drink more water
  • Add more protein and healthy fat to your meals, which will eliminate the need for snacking
  • Drink green tea when cravings kick in
