One of my Clients contacted me to today to get help with getting back on her weight-loss track. She had read an article on how to lose 10 pounds in a week, and all of a sudden everything we had talked about was a blur. Even though we know what we are suppose to do, it's so easy to get off track, confused and discouraged. How come it's taking me time to see results when this magazine is promising me that I will lose weight in a heartbeat? Should I change my plan?
Everywhere we look there are new diets and ideas screaming at us from magazines, websites etc. And they all sounds wonderful and easy. But don't be fooled. Remember that there are no short-cuts, just eating healthy whole foods and moving more. That's it.
So next time you see a magazine article promising you results in a week, just remember to go back to basics. The time it's taking you to lose weight, is the right amount of time. Losing weight too quickly often means you will gain it back just as quickly. So stick with it and be patience. The results will come!
