Start a healthy Lifestyle #17 - Create a worry list

Stress is one of the most dangerous threats to our health. Stress and worrying makes us more vulnerable and it will make you sick. If you find yourself worrying a lot, creating a daily Worry List can help you manage your stress and reduce the time you spend worrying.

Whenever you catch a worrying thought, write it down and save it for later. Spend five minutes in the morning and five minutes in the evening worrying about whatever you wrote on your list. This may sound simple, but postponing your worry will actually make it less stressful whenever you sit down and actually think about it in peace and quiet.

Also, I always advice my Clients to not worry about things that might not happen. If you are nervous and worrying about something that might not happen, you might be worrying for no reason and you are adding unnecessary stress to your life. If it is a matter you have no control over, then you are better off dealing with it when it actually happens. Otherwise, focus on the good things. If that doesn't work, put it on the Worry List and only spend five minutes a day worrying about it.
