I love the holidays! Getting together with family and friends, cozy up on the couch with candles everywhere. Many think the holidays are stressful, but it doesn’t have to be. Just plan and start early. I’m almost done with all holiday shopping and I have wrapped most gifts...

- Hope you had a great weekend!
I spent my weekend with family and friends in Maine celebrating my birthday. It was an amazing weekend which made me reflect on my life and what has happened this past year. I've decided to start a new tradition. I'm going to send a letter to myself on my birthday reflecting on the past year and to tell myself where I would like to be in a year (when I open the letter). I will also give myself some tips on what to focus on etc.
The letter starts like this:
Hi Madlene,
This is Madlene in year 2014. Yet another year has passed and the big learning this year was to not stress about time. Everything happens when it's suppose to happen....
..........
I will share my letter with you in 2015 when I open it up on my next birthday. Let's see if I learned anything and listened to myself...
Reflections in beautiful Maine -
Walking in NYC
- Hope you had a great weekend! I didn't get to exercise much this weekend, but I did a lot of walking in NYC. We went to the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and walked around in Manhattan. We couldn't have asked for better weather. And even though I didn't lift any weights or ran my usual 5k, I can feel all the walking we did in my legs today. Some how I will always sneak some calorie burning :)
This week my plan is to:
Monday - 15 mins Tabatha exercises Tuesday - Weights (biceps, triceps and chest), 30 min jog Wednesday - 30 min walk Thursday - Weights (biceps, triceps and legs), 30 min jog Friday - 30 min walk Saturday - rest Sunday - run 5k (biceps, triceps and shoulders)
what is your exercise plan this week?!
Blue skies in NYC this weekend
Today is going to be a great day!
Combining work with pleasure
- Yesterday I spent the day combining work with pleasure. I went to the Brimfield Fair and walked for hours while looking at antiques trying to find my next home project. It was a great day, and I can't wait for the Spring to go again in May. I bought a chest, baskets, wooden boxes and got many ideas for new projects. And of course, hit goal on my Nike Fuelband! What's not to love?!
